About UKPCS
The working of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission is regulated by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission Procedure and Conduct of Business Rule 2013{ Framed by the Lok Sewa Ayog Uttarakhand under section 11 of U.P. State Lok Sewa Ayog(Prakriya ka viniyaman) Adhiniyam, 1985 Uttarakhand Anukulan awam Upantaran Adesh, 2002.}
Follow the following steps to apply for the UKPSC PCS exam:
Ø Visit the official website of the UKPSC PCS exam @ukpsc.gov.in.
Ø Fill in all the required details like name, father name, address, Aadhar number, mobile number, mail ID, and other details.
Ø After successfully filling up all the details and completing the registration process, candidates need to log in again using registration credentials.
Ø Now, start filling up the application form like education qualification, gender, caste, and other details.
Ø Upload the required documents.
Ø Select the language for the examination and center preferences.
Ø Pay the application Fee.

Age Limit for UKPSC PCS
All the candidates who want to sit for the UKPSC PCS exam must not be younger than 21 years of age and must not be elder than 42 years of age as on the date prescribed in the notification. There is age relaxation applicable for different categories.

Educational Qualification
Ø The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from any recognized university.
Ø Candidates who have a post-graduation diploma in Town and architect planning or associate membership of American institute of town/ Institute of planner/ Institute of town planner or institute of town planner India are eligible for the Sahayak Nagar Niyojak post.
Ø Candidates who are graduates of Hindi are eligible for the post of District information officer / Feature writer.
What is the selection process of UKPSC 2021?
The UKPSC exam involves three stages for the recruitment of various administrative posts. The selection process is similar to the various state PSC and UPSC exams. The exam stages are:
- Preliminary Examination,
- Mains Examination, and
- Interview.
- The exam pattern for the UKPSC exam is similar to that of the UPSC and other administrative examinations. The prelims exam has 2 papers whereas the mains exam has nine papers. The personality test is going to test your problem-solving skills, personality, knowledge in different subjects, and other things.
UKPSC Exam Pattern 2021
The first step of the selection process is preliminary examination. The UKPSC conducts the exam at various centers all over the state. There are two papers i.e., General Studies and Aptitude Test. Each paper carries 150 marks and is of 2 hours duration. The general aptitude paper is qualifying in nature just like the UPSC.

UKPSC Mains Exam
After clearing the prelims exam cutoff candidates would be called for the mains exam. The main exam has nine traditional descriptive papers. Two papers are qualifying in nature whereas five papers are of general studies and the other two are optional subjects. The mains exam is a traditional descriptive examination. Candidates who qualify in the mains exam will be called for the Interview. The exam papers are set in the English language except the language paper will be set in the regional language.

UKPSC State Civil Services Main Exam will be conducted in Haldwani and Haridwar centers only.
Personality Test
The interview/ viva-voce is the last stage of the exam. Only a handful of candidates are called for the UKPSC interview after the mains exam. The interview is 200 marks. The interview will be conducted in the UKPSC office.
The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in mains and interviews.

Ø UKPSC Admit Card, Result
Ø Candidates applying for the UKPSC Combined State Civil Services Examination may download the admission card from the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission’s official website i.e., ukpsc.gov.in. The UKPSC Prelims admit card for the preliminary examination is expected to be available for download 10 days before the examination. We’ll update the direct link to download the admission card.
